Back to work we go . . . .

I started my new job! Everything is going fairly well so far, there are a few adjustment pins to get through. It's quite a bit different from my old job so it will take some time before I"m used to it. The work is the same, but the new place has a different format and different procedures. I've gone from being the one that knows everything to being the one that knows nothing and pesters everyone with questions! I'm looking forward to feeling a bit more comfortable with everything. I'm using pretty much the exact same software (but on much nicer and newer hardware), so at least there's no learning curve there.

This office is also much larger than my old work, so everything is more formal and there are a lot more people around. The social events are a much bigger deal, and they have sports teams. Apparently a bunch of people run the Sporting Life 10K to celebrate the end of tax season, so I'm going to sign up for that and get that goal over with. It might help me stay motivated during tax season too, with working out and staying fit. Doesn't hurt that there's a gym right near my work either, I'm planning on taking advantage of the location.

I did get to donate blood, and it was not nearly as big a deal as I thought it would be. I didn't feel faint or anything afterwards. It didn't even hurt all that much. Having the needle in my arm for so long was uncomfortable, but didn't really hurt. All in all it was as good an experience as it could have been. I wouldn't say that sitting with a needle in my arm was a good time, but I'm glad I went and it's not scary to me anymore. When I'm allowed to donate again I'll see how I feel. I just want my donor card to find out what blood type I am.

The next two weeks are kitten-training for me. I'm looking after a kitten for two weeks. It's like practice for when I can finally get my own. So far everything that is not nailed down has become a toy. And some things that are nailed down. I'd forgotten that kittens also rarely sit still, unlike cats. They are adorable though. This one has been getting very playful late at night when I want to go to bed. Tonight I'm going to try to tire him out lots in advance, see if that works. It's worth a try if it means I get an extra hour of sleep. It seems like I have to trade play time for quiet time. Which is fair, considering he stays at home all day while I'm at work.

Goal Review (2 sections since I'm doing well in these ones!)
Get outside
50. Go camping in Tobermory once a summer - done for last summer, need to go next summer
51. Replace shed in Tobermory - need to do it this year, I've been talking to my mom about it
52, 53, 54 - All done!

Healthy living
55. Achieve and maintain healthy weight range - I've plateau'ed for awhile, but now have a new time frame set that I think is achievable
56. Keep a food journal - currently ongoing, 5 more days! Then I have to pick something to change
57. Do a cleanse - I need to find a good one. I'd like to do one that doesn't require me to buy weird shakes or formulas. This just requires more research on my part, and then commitment to doing it.
58. Done!
59. Try acupuncture - not yet, but I may have found a place to try it out. I'm going to try a massage there first, see if it looks sanitary enough to poke things into my skin.
60. Have 10 self pamper days/nights - 3/10, need to do more! More pampering! Maybe I'll try for one this weekend, have a lazy Sunday perhaps? Ooh, if I'm really good I can try going technology free too.
61. Private, but almost completed.

Now done 30 goals!
