I'm back! And now I can't wait to go on vacation again. Going back to work tomorrow is going to suck! I'm already mostly unpacked, with the suitcase put away and everything. I say mostly, because I count doing trip laundry as unpacking. I did one load today, and I'll do another one tomorrow. The trip was productive for reading goals - I read one banned book, and am more than halfway through another classic. There was a lot of beach reading while I worked on my tan.
Now that I'm home again I need to start focusing on my purging goals, so that I have less stuff to move. Once I find a place to live, of course. I also need to do a deep clean of my room. It's due, and as I get closer to my move-out date I know that it will get harder for me to be motivated to do it at all. I've realised that a lot of my mess comes from paper. I have a ton of papers floating around, that I'm not sure what to do with. I think I need to start scanning and saving electronically. My scanner is stopping me though - it is a plate scanner instead of a feed scanner. Which means that if I want to scan multiple pages I have to do it basically manually, replacing the scanned page on the scanner with an unscanned page each time. Not exactly a job that I am dying to get to.
This week is also dedicated to getting a baby gift done. I am knitting a bonnet and booties for a friend who is expecting. The bonnet and one booty are mostly done, and I've started the second booty. They take longer than I had expected. Once I am done the knitting part, I have ribbon to add for extra cuteness. Then I am going to try to get another pair of booties done for a friend who just had a child. Couldn't do those in advance because we didn't know the sex, and I didn't want to make generic booties. I'm starting to think though that I should knit up some pairs to have on hand for the next round of babies!
